JACK UP THE PRICE



To raise the price of an item that is offered for sale.

Example: The steel company decided to jack up the price of steel at the beginning of the year.

Aumentar los precios.

Example sentences:

  • It doesn't surprise me that they jack up the price at the last minute / No me sorprende que aumenten los precios en el último minuto.

  • I can’t believe they’re going to jack up the price of gasoline again / No puedo creer que vayan a aumentar los precios de la gasolina otra vez.
