TODAY'S IDIOM: WET BEHIND THE EARS

Wet behind the ears

young and not experienced

The job put a lot of responsibility on someone who was still wet behind the ears, but he learned fast.

Wet behind the ears= Novato,verde,en pañales,joven y sin experiencia.

Ejemplos:

La maestra tenia tan poca experiencia que no aprendimos nada ("The teacher was so wet behind the ears that we didn’t learn anything")

Podra aun ser un novato pero esta bien entrenado y es totalmente competente ("He may be wet behind the ears, but he's well-trained and totally competent")

Ejemplos adicionales:

I see people here who arrived at the school wet behind the ears and are now big executives.

I knew that I was onto something but was in the dark and wet behind the ears
