Float (Someone) a loan

To loan someone money

I asked the bank to float me a loan so that I could buy a new car

Se utiliza "Float  a loan" Cuando se presta dinero a alguien

Ejemplos:

Necesitaban dinero. Así que tuvieron que pedir un préstamo ("They needed money, so they had to float a loan.")

Ella le prestara el dinero con la condición de que le pague en un mes (" She will float him the money with the condition that he pays her in a month")
