Se utiliza " work overtime" al trabajar mas tiempo del estipulado originalmente
Ejemplos:
Tendremos que trabajar tiempo extra para resolver el problema de producción (" We'll have to work overtime to solve the production problem")
Trabajar horas extra no es la opción mas popular pero tenemos que hacerlo (" Working overtime it's not the most popular choice but we have to do it")
Ejemplos adicionales:

"I can't go to dinner tonight. I've been working overtime the whole week"
