What do you think "Get a break" means?
a .- Obtain a favorable opportunity; get special consideration or treatment.
Example: The new price is higher, but you are getting a break on service
b .- To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash
Example: Sorry, but the cat got a break the watch you just gave me.
c .- To make contact with by radio
Example: I couldn't get a break with the control tower after midnight.
