PULL THE PLUG

To stop something. To bring something to an end.

Se utiliza el dicho "pull the plug"  cuando se pretende poner  fin a algo , generalmente de forma abrupta . (Tirar del enchufe ) .

Ejemplos:

Tendremos que poner fin a este proyecto (" we will have to pull the plug on this project")

Tuvimos que descontinuar la mayoría de nuestro software ( "we had to pull the plug on most of our software")
