We adjourned the meeting until the next day
Se utiliza "Adjourn a meeting" al flinalizar uan reunion/junta/sesión
Ejemplos:
Antes de levantar la sesión, quiero dar las gracias a todos por su participación en el debate del día de hoy y por su contribución a éste ( "Before I adjourn the meeting, I would like to thank everyone for their participation in, and contribution to, today's debate.")
Interrumpimos la sesión hasta el comienzo de la votación a las 17.30 horas. (" We now adjourn the meeting until the beginning of the vote at 5.30 p.m")
Ejemplos adicionales:
The decision to adjourn the meeting may be taken at the proposal of the Board of Directors
